Description
Kind of an anatomy study that turned into another Hank drawing. Mainly working on foreshortening of the shoulders and more relaxed poses. Also, a minor pet peeve of mine is when people draw a character's arms lifted above their head, but they fail to properly extend and flatten the pectoral muscles, so I wanted to make sure to get the chest right here. Of course, Hank's a pretty thickly muscled guy, so his pectoral muscles aren't going to completely flatten out when he raises his arms, but they are still going to appear much flatter compared to when his arms are at his sides.
I guess the story behind this drawing is that Hank just got done with a workout session at the mansion's gym and is taking a short break on the floor before heading off to the showers. Probably carrying on a conversation with Bobby or Warren, who just happen to be standing behind the viewer. I put glasses on him because it was pretty much impossible to tell that this is supposed to be Hank McCoy otherwise. I'm considering just putting him in uniform so that people can see that it's actually supposed to be Beast.
