In Honor of Vietnam War Vets by NMRosario In Honor of Vietnam War Vets by NMRosario
This was a computer based illustration project that I made while I was attending college a few years ago. The goal of the assignment was to create a 2-color illustration. We could only use two colors of ink (the white paper color was considered a bonus). The whole point was to get us used to designing signs and advertisements that would not cost a lot of money in the printing process.

I decided to do a patriotic piece using just red and blue ink and I thought it would be nice to honor Vietnam veterans. My dad served in Vietnam and, when he returned home, he never received so much as a 'thank you' for serving his country. So this was my way of thanking my dad and all of those who served in Vietnam.

Created in Adobe Illustrator.

Excellent work. It truly is an terrific way to honour the Vietnam veterans. I't's quite a shameful stain that they didn't get the gratitude they most-deserved. It wasn't really much better where I live in Australia either.

My parents originally came from Vietnam, I'm sorry that they had to go through such a sketchy war and political situation, but I'm also thankful they fought and died for my parents' freedom.

This is wonderfuly done. Simple in true. I dislike how the vetarans who came back were treated when they returned. This is a great tribute.

As a piece of design this is nice and simple, not sure how well it would work as a poster or campaign material though.

Still good reason to make it.
