The Hulk and Rick Jones sketch

Is that a drawing of Rick Jones taking a picture of Hulk with his camera phone? Why yes it is.

After trying to keep up with the modern versions of Hulk over the last couple of years, I still think that Jack Kirby drew the best Hulk. So that's what my version here is based on. He wasn't overly large back then (in fact he was usually depicted as shorter than Thor while he was in the Avengers) and he had the intelligence of an illiterate high school dropout. So he could string together complete sentences and fully grasped the concept of subjective personal pronouns. Plus his transformations were mostly controlled by a gamma ray device and before that he transformed only at night.

So, all the transforming-when-he-gets-angry, "Hulk smash!" stuff were revisions to the character that were added later on.

Also, Kirby always drew Hulk with a hairy chest and arms, so there is a precedent for that. I just added the hairy legs because it only seemed to make sense.
