Description
Here is the final colored version of my previous upload, only made up as a cover redo for X-Men #47 originally published in 1968. You can see the original version here: [link]
The X-Men United group, that I'm a member of, is doing a cover redo project for June, so I thought it might be cool to repurpose this drawing as a remake of that classic cover. Obviously I made no attempt whatsoever to recreate the cover exactly like it was and I had no real problems with leaving the Maha Yogi/Warlock out since he's a two-bit, nothing villain that nobody really cares about.
X-Men 47 is one of my favorite classic issues of the X-Men for obvious reasons. It's the only issue where Hank and Bobby take center stage. Although, Beast and Iceman were originally intended to star in a second adventure as a duo in issue #49, but fan backlash to splitting the X-Men up was so great that Marvel scrapped that story in order to reunite the team. It's kind of a shame, however, because Hank and Bobby had moved to San Francisco and were making a living as professional skydivers; so it would have been interesting to see where that story line had taken them.

When did they do the skydiving thing? In the late 60's?
